Loctite 263 High Strength Red Threadlocker
LOCTITE® 263 is a versatile, red, dual-cure, high-strength acrylic threadlocker designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners up to 1". It cures when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces, preventing loosening and leakage from shock and vibration.
It is engineered to cure consistently on a variety of metals, including active metals (e.g., brass, copper) and passive substrates (e.g., stainless steel, plated surfaces), despite minor surface contaminants.
High Strength: Designed for permanent locking.
Heavy Duty Applications: Particularly suited for applications like studs into motor housings.
Substrate Versatility: Provides robust curing performance on various metals.
Improved Tolerance: Offers high-temperature performance (rated for 360°F / 180°C) and improved oil tolerance. Tolerates thread lubrication and corrosion protection fluids.
Removal: Heat is required for removal.
Typical Applications: Replaces Loctite® 270 and Loctite® 271 formulations.
